This PDF download workshop will take you through all the steps to make a felted bird with wrapped wire legs. It is suitable for beginner feltmakers who have some experience handling wool.  
Materials required to make this bird project:
Merino wool 50 grams in one or more colours
Prefelt, fibre, silk chiffon (optional to decorate the bird)
Bubble wrap 24 inches by 48 inches
Resist material (flooring underpad or thick plastic)
pool noodle, wood dowel or rolling pin
towels
water container and sprayer or bottle with holes drilled in lid
dish detergent
for feet: 40 gauge wire, pliers, electrical tape
